Haven't posted entries for quite a while, and so much happened! This Saturday evening I'll be back to dearest Kyiv. And I haven't done so much I wanted to do!

So now - probably the best idea would be to tell quite in brief about every day's events since my last entry.

Thursday, July the 31st
Am Nachmittag - Glyptothek. That's a collection of ancient Greek and Roman sculptures and so on near the Pinakotheken, founded in the same time by the same Ludwig I. We had the same guide, Wolfgang, who was taking us round the city on Monday - "so einen netten jungen Mann" (c) - and he knows so much on art and history, etc...
Then just from the Glyptothek I had to run to get to opera in time. That was Gärtner-Theater in Gäartnerplatz, and the work was "I Masnadieri" or "The Räuber", Verdi after Schiller - wasn't able to get tickets to "Meistersingern", pas de chance! HOwever, this opera turned out to be very nice. With the help of my ISIC I secured a seat in the 6th row of the "parterre" only for 8 euro! And the music was very nice, and all the singers... The production was in modern style - so all these "brigands" had long leather coats on them (imagine that! Yeah, that was close to the case "Too many men, too little time") - and Franz and his people wore classical suits - so that was much like Neo's team vs. Agents Smiths in Matrix:) There were still more funny moments, for example when some of the "Räuber" sings a long air (Karl himself, for instance), several others point guns at him - like "Stop making that terrible noise, or we are gonna shoot you"

I also walked for a while during the entr'acte and had a glass of tonic. Yeah, all those rich and beautifully dressed gentlemen and ladies... and me among them... (surely I choose my best black blouse with a long black skirt, so I didn't look as a white crow).

After that I ran again and was just in time - well, some hour late, but still in time - for a Goethe-Institut gathering in Park Cafe in Old Botanical Garden. Everybody was there, LInda, Irene, Italian guys... We had nice time - for we sang a lot! That means that mostly it was I who sang. Carmen's parts, and some Italian air I knew, and some Edith PIaf... Luca told me I was just like Tarja Turunen and if only I were Italian, then he'd place me in his band:)) So, you see, it was a bliss that I arrived after they all had a considerable amount of beer. In fact I have mezzo-soprano, but I still don't breathe properly... and because of that I can get out of key... That evening we returned home quite late, hopefully for me it was so close to the Old Botanical Garden.

Friday, August the 1st
After the lesson we went with our teacher to some Biergarten with live jazz music out of town, to the south, on Isar banks. That was really nice there. We wandered along Isar quite long. And then there was another Biergarten... So I got home much later than I expected...
And, most important of all, I was shown the cottage where Ludwig I and Lola Montez secretly met! Yes, I made a photo of it starring myself:)
