So, my fourth year at National Medical University has begun! The first day was much better than I feared - so there was no need at all to worry so much.
From this year on we have a completely different system of education: Cycles. For example, my group of eleven - and some others from our department have neurology now. We are going to have nothing but neurology for four weeks (practice every day, and lectures each second day, fortunately, the latter are read at the same hospital our group is studying). Then an exam in neurology - and two weeks of urology follow. I even can't explain how great all this is! Last year we studied all the subjects simultaneously and could have four lessons a day in three various places (the right, the left and again the right bank of river Dnieper) - I left the house before sunrise and returned so dead that I could only eat and sleep. Yeah, we even didn't have time for eating - you had to devour your sandwiches in the tube or rushing around the block...
As for the teacher - that's our Deputy Dean (
soldaja, I guess you and Tanya know him too well...). So far he is quite nice to us - and his refreshing mini-lecture on afferent nervous paths was clear and interesting. And today we were free at noon! - unbelievable in any of previous years.
To conclude: by all means being a B.Sc. is better than a trembling first-year student;)
