It was great just to wander around the town. The streets are so narrow, so medieval, so romantic in one word! For example, here are two typical-sized streets and an edge of the house:

And here's another take, showing how narrow those streets are:

Old Peter - if I remember the name properly - some very old water-mill

Again - if my memory doesn't mislead me, this building is named Mozarteum. Anyway, that's a modern-built concert hall, REALLY BIG in size. My POTO-dependent attention was caught by this. I can't even tell whether it's a detail or decoration or - what seems quite probable, judging from the size of the tubes - the exterior tubes of the great organ of the concert hall.

These two takes show how close the mountains come to the houses. I guess these ones actually don't have the back wall, for there's the cliff instead!

In some time I stumbled across Mozart's birthplace. 'Crowded' is a weak word for this street!

And here's an obligatory photo of my dinner. That's a wine restaurant on the "newer" bank of Salzach. Tomato-cream soup and delicious (no, not so little - herrlich!) red wine. Unfortunately now I can recall only its year - 2005.

And, for the rest of the afternoon weary Saschhen went to bright and gay Mirabelle Garten. I actually wanted to dance of joy and sing out loud "Do, a deer, a female deer..." While I kept silent and serious, there were those Chinese (or Korean, for who can say) guys who did try to sing;) Moreover, they must have thought me to be some "typical Austrian girl" - probably that was due to my two long braids or my folk-style shirt and skirt - so they asked me to be photographed!) I willingly uttered "cheese". However, my brother told me I had been pretty stupid not to ask for "fuenf euro" before)))

Is this church the one in which Julie Andrews married in "that movie"? For I am not sure
